Read the new article, authored by Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Marc J. Salzman, about his Z Wave clinical study. The article details his experience in treating with non-invasive Z Wave Radial Pulse Technology to soften and resolve capsular contractures that resulted from breast implants. Dr. Salzman’s paper describes pre-testing performed on breast implants from three major brands. This test determined that the Z Wave device would not damage the implants themselves. Dr. Salzman then outlines the progression of treatments and protocols used on patients with breast implants.

Dr. Salzman notes that the treatment yields low-risk and high satisfation:

“No anesthesia, analgesia, or other pretreatment protocol is required; the patient simply comes in, undergoes treatment, and leaves with no effect on their day-to-day life because there are no side effects or downtime. Satisfaction is high because persistent results are easy to obtain with little hassle.”

In the paper, alternative methods for capsular contracture treatment are acknowledged and the following conclusion is drawn:

“There are a number of different treatment options, including surgery, but more recent study (including histology) has suggested that shockwave therapy (Z Wave) is a viable and potentially powerful therapy for capsular contracture.”

The paper reports the success rate achieved in completely resolving capsular contractures. Dr. Salzman concludes, “…given the safety and ease-of-use seen with Z Wave, any practitioner can safely perform this treatment and expect noticeable results using the simple guidelines stated above.”
